Clarion is serious about marine audio components. For Clarion, marine means more than a look. We have spent years designing, engineering and perfecting source units that can stand up to water and ultraviolet rays. Clarion’s CMD4 is a source unit designed to resist water in all its forms: waves, rain, humidity and everything else that the marine environment can throw at it. The CDM4’s cosmetics and features look as good as it sounds… wet or dry.
You can make your next boat trip more enjoyable with Clarion CMD4A Marine CD Receiver. The Clarion CMD4A supplies plenty of power with its built-in amplifier (19 watts RMS/53 peak × 4 channels), so you’ll be able to hear your music over the noise of waves, wind, or the boat’s motor. You can use the three sets of preamp outputs to add outboard amplifiers, and the rear auxiliary audio input is available for your iPod, portable player or any other audio source.

LAS VEGAS (Business Wire) Pioneer Electronics Inc. launched 2 mono Class-D car amplifiers to join its family of GM-series car audio amplifiers. Two New Amplifiers Incorporate Digital Technology Making Them More Efficient. These new car amplifiers are designed to combine high power output and high efficiency while simultaneously producing the high-fidelity audio Pioneer is known for. The Pioneer GM-D7400M and Pioneer GM-D8400M digital mono amplifiers, intended for powering large subwoofers, use digital technology that make them 80-95 percent more efficient than conventional class A/B amplifiers. Due to the increased efficiency, the physical size of the new amplifiers was also reduced by 45%, making them more compact and easier to install.
“Adding an amplifier to an in-car entertainment system can dramatically change the overall listening experience, breathing new life into the car audio system regardless of whether it is installed in an older car or one fresh off the dealer’s lot. A better sounding car stereo system equates to a better driving experience,”
said Larry Rougas, vice president of marketing and product planning for the mobile business group of Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.
“With these GM series digital amplifiers along with our shallow subwoofers, consumers no longer need to sacrifice space to add more bass.”
The Pioneer GM-D7400M and Pioneer GM-D8400M also feature block-style terminals that allow power and speaker cables to be securely connected to the amplifier without the use of crimped-on spade terminals. In the 2- and 4-channel versions, the amplifiers accept speaker-level inputs for easy integration to factory OEM audio systems.

For many car audio enthusiasts, looks are as important as sound quality, and Pioneer’s GM series of amplifiers offer a smooth, refined look. Each has a black heat sink complemented by a brushed aluminum center and blue LED power indicator.

Motorola ROKR T505 Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone and Digital FM Transmitter Announced.
Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) is dialing up the experience of hands-free driving with the introduction of the MOTOROKR T505 Bluetooth® In-Car Speakerphone and Digital FM Transmitter, its first road-ready, music-oriented ROKR accessory and the latest addition to its portfolio of in-car solutions. The MOTOROKR T505 enables consumers to connect a compatible Bluetooth enabled phone№ to the car sound system and enjoy hands-free calling and their own personal music collection in outstanding stereo sound.

Motorola will unveil its newest Bluetooth automotive accessory here at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, the premiere automotive specialty products trade event.
The T505 is extremely portable and requires no wires or installation. Drivers simply clip the device to a car’s visor and pair the T505 using Motorola’s EasyPair™ technology to a compatible Bluetooth device. When the T505 is connected to a stereo Bluetooth phone, such as a MOTORAZR2 or MOTOROKR Z6, or an MP3 player, calls and music are streamed wirelessly with the perfectly-tuned clarity and wide-ranging volume of a car stereo. Drivers with standard Bluetooth phones can use the T505 to make and take their calls over the car stereo. And when the ride’s over, the T505 can be easily unhooked and taken to another car for the next trip.
“Today’s drivers demand convenience and connectivity without missing a beat to what’s important to them - their calls and their music,” said Jason Few, corporate vice president, Motorola, Inc. “We’re excited to introduce a portable, music-optimized ROKR to the car to enhance the mobile experience while consumers are on the road.”
The T505 also features StationFinder™, a breakthrough technology that announces where the best FM connection can be found on the user’s car radio. When calls come in, the T505 automatically mutes the music and audibly announces the Caller-ID2, so drivers can keep their eyes on the road. Cutting-edge echo and noise reduction technology and a built-in microphone and 2-watt speaker also ensure that drivers have outstanding sound and zero static throughout their ride.

Sony Debuts New Car Audio Systems at SEMA
Sony is providing quality mobile audio components with three new speakers, three new amplifiers and a new subwoofer here at the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) annual trade show.
The company unveiled its new GTX series speakers, which are the perfect complement to the GT series head units. Three new models - XS-GTX1620S, XS-GTX6930 and XS-GTX1640 - feature sleek designs and dynamic sound quality.
For improved sound imaging in the GTX design, the XS-GTX1620S two-way component speakers provide 260 watts peak power. They have a highly oriented polyolefine (HOP) cone woofer, which offers rich and solid bass as well as superb sound. The speakers offer a good option for factory replacement for newer vehicles with tweeters located in the A-pillar behind the side-view mirrors.

The separate .75-inch tweeters provide versatility in installation to optimize a vehicle’s soundstage, and can be surface or flush mounted. For better sound, the 2-way passive crossovers direct the appropriate frequencies to the tweeters for clear highs and better bass response from the woofers.
Both the XS-GTX6930 three-way speakers and the XS-GTX1640 4-way speakers offer an HOP woofer. The XS-GTX6930 has 400 watts peak power and offers powerful sound at a great price.
To get the best results when installing speakers, installers should match the power source level of RMS or continuous watts to the high end of the speaker’s range in RMS. The XS-GTX1640 has 300 watts peak power (75 RMS) and has a high density layered diaphragm (HDLD)…
